Drawing Order and Sequencing

Drawing Order - The standard drawing order on all projects will be as follows:

​

• Site Utility

• Plumbing

• Fire Protection

• Mechanical Ductwork

• Mechanical Piping

• Electrical Lighting

• Electrical Power 

• Technology

Drawing Sequence - The first drawing of each discipline, unless directed otherwise by the client, shall be legends and notes.  Demolition plans, if required will be sequenced prior to the new work plans for each discipline.  The sheets following the floor plans shall follow the numeric and type of views indicated in the chart below.

Please note that the overall size of a project will ultimately determine the numeric sequencing of the sheet set.  Most of our larger projects will fit the criteria indicated in these instructions.  Small jobs, with just a few sheets, will adhere as best as possible to the numeric chart below unless a Project Manager indicates otherwise.  If there is any question, please consult your team or whomever you are working with.
