Upcoming Changes to Revit Template for Commercial Projects
As we have done in the past, we have decided to upgrade our Revit template to a newer version. This will allow us to take advantage of newer features within our template content and facilitate some upcoming changes to details, diagrams and families that have been created in newer versions of Revit.
Beginning today, the template for 2017 will be retired. The file will still be available but should only be utilized if an older version of Revit is required. Note that no new changes will be made to that template going forward.
The new template will located and named as follows:
\\ces-domain.local\Standards\_Revit Resources\00_Revit Template
For Revit 2019 and 2020, users should change their default template to this newer template.
The following represents the means of pointing to the proper file location. In Revit 2019 and 2020, select the File tab. At the bottom of the popup select Options. The dialog below will appear. Select File Locations in the left side listing. Use the plus (+) button to add the new template location. Remove the reference to the 2017 template with the minus (-) button.
