BIM 360 Design now called BIM Collaborate Pro
To all teams using BIM 360 Design for some of your projects,
Be advised that the product is changing names and will now become BIM Collaborate Pro. I am sending this so you will be aware of the change before a client mentions it for a project in the future.
The Pro version will perform the functions we are accustomed to with BIM 360 Design and will start to add some additional features that will begin a tie-in to the next phases of projects well beyond the design document phases.
Note that there is a product version without the Pro status that is called BIM Collaborate. This would be used by project managers, construction managers and other stakeholders for notation, coordination and issue assignments. I do not anticipate us using it for this purpose as many of our project managers are also design engineers with active Revit use in some manner.
As always, if you have any questions, please let me know.
