Modifications to Colors for Details, Legends and Schedules in Revit
I have modified the templates to re-incorporate the colors that had previously been used for details, legends and schedules. The color is now a slightly brighter version of red that will be easily readable regardless of your drawing environment.
To reiterate why these items were and will now again be this color, it is to help users recognize when they are using floor plan intended text (shown black in our views) versus text heights intended for details, legends and schedules. Revit unfortunately remembers the last text style used and the next text input will continue to be that style if the user does not set it back to the proper style for the view type they are in. The red color also helps user and reviewers recognize when a detail is a standard or has been imported from CAD or from a PDF view. Knowing how to identify and realize a standard is used versus a users non-standard detail will become increasingly important as reviews enter into the models themselves.
As always, please let me know if you have any questions or concerns about this new standard and I will be happy to discuss further. Please note that the lower graphic is not as clear and bright as the true view of that color combination.
